In this day and age many people struggle with anxiety and overwhelm. Practising breathwork is something that is available to everyone and it does not require any experience other than an open mind and a willing heart to start.
I am someone who has always been physically active and into martial arts & boxing. Along the way I soon came to realise that physical strength alone is not enough. To overcome the challenges of life in the modern world you need to include more than just physical activity.
I have always been interested in Eastern philosophies and adding breathwork was a natural extension of this journey of understanding and supporting mind and body.
My breathwork discipline started with Wim Hof at his first international instructor training group. This was my first training in breath mastery, which now spans a variety of breath-based approaches to wellbeing, resilience and inner strength.
Each breathing technique has been tested rigorously. And I have now adopted a unique approach to teaching breathing exercises. One that is accessible for all across a range of formats.
The type of breathwork that I teach ranges from diaphragmatic breathing to conscious connected breathing. These techniques can help you to manage your stress response, improve your functional breathing patterns for health and performance and allow access to altered states of consciousness.
I firmly believe that breathwork is just one of many coping strategies that can be used to help control your emotional responses and improve your overall mental health. I am constantly learning and expanding my own experience through advanced breathing patterns, awareness and meditation techniques.
This puts me in a better space to apply this experience and learning within my own practice and with my clients and online community.
